I am researching permanent eye make-up (eye liner) and I would like input from other women who have had this.?

don't do it. my friends have had it done and it always looks fake. just wear eyeliner, it's not worth it to get the permanent stuff. it just looks bad.I am researching permanent eye make-up (eye liner) and I would like input from other women who have had this.?
ya i have herd of that but i dont think you should get it. its much easier and less expensive to just put on eyelinder. and would if they mess up, or it doesnt look good? then its there FOREVER! i saw this lady who got it done at the salon and she said it hurt really bad too. i dont think u should get it.I am researching permanent eye make-up (eye liner) and I would like input from other women who have had this.?
Well personally I would never get that done. Omg, that just would freak me out, one because I would freak if a needle was that close to my eye. **shudders in horror**. Besides what if I wanna have an eyeliner free day - it's rare for me but I like having no eyeliner sometimes. lmao. And i think it would look weird. Hmm but if people do it, kick ***, more power to them.

That's my opinion,

blondie.
woww. ive heard of people getting eyeliner tattoed to themselves
I know a woman who had this done to her eyebrows. After several years, her permanet makeup looked really purple. I also know another woman who got permanet lipstick. The lipstick did not take.

Neither woman was happy with the result.

Is it true that if you sleep with mascara or eye liner u will get permanent dark rings under your eyes?

Not true but it sure isnt healthy for your eyelashes, They need to breathe and grow that is why its best to wash it off at night.

If not it can contirbute to your lashes falling out or not growing.

%26lt;3Is it true that if you sleep with mascara or eye liner u will get permanent dark rings under your eyes?
sorry but it is true you should never never sleep with eye make-up on you're eyelashes are going to be gone in three yearsIs it true that if you sleep with mascara or eye liner u will get permanent dark rings under your eyes?
no, i fall asleep with no makeup on all the time, and dark circles are genetic not from sleeping with makeup
i doubt it why would that happen. besides the eyeliner would probably rub off
haha..no i do that and i dont have any rings
yes, don't sleep with makeup
Not that I heard of but one important thing, do not sleep with the mascara or eye liner. Its not good in long term as the skin might be hurt in long term due to the chemicals that will pentrate to your skin.
No, old wives tale! However, it is good to take off your make up before you go to sleep.
No that is not true there is no way that mascara can change the pigment in your skin. But you should take off your make up before you go to bed it's better for your skin.
False
i don't think so....but I have heard that sleeping with make up increases the aging process. I dunno
i don't think so. i sleep with my make-up on even though i shouldn't.
Pro artist here, listen girls take your makeup off before you go to bed! no it will not create permanent dark circles, but sleeping in any makeup clogs pores, causes lash breakage, and prematurely ages your skin. If you want eye wrinkles at 29 instead of 39, then keep sleeping in your makeup. Use a gentle cleanser, whether regular or for waterproof makeup. Use warm, not hot water, and don't tug at the eye area, that does break small blood vessels and will cause permanent dark circles. I know, that most of you are young, and don't have wrinkles, lines, furrows, etc, but you will thank me when you are older. I'm 37 and 2 days ago someone mistook me for 29.
Haha no. I sleep with eye makeup all the time and I have no rings under my eyes.
Nope, but it might make your lashes weak and prone to shed more than normal.
I've never heard of that but I can see where leaving mascara on over night could weaken your eyelashes, causing unwanted breakage. As for eyeliner I know when i've done it my eyes sometimes got get irritated and itchy.
No, but don't do it, it'll leave rings but it's not permanent.
no
no no no lol..you may wake up with major smearage..but a bit of vaseline and a cloth will take it right off after your shower..lol..
No, you can still take it off easily the next day.
definitely not
False; but it is bad to sleep with makeup, CLEAN IT! what you could end having is pink eye!!
i do not think that is true.
Absolutely NOT TRUE. I am 19 years old and I have been where both eye liner and mascara since I was 15 and I have fell asleep numbers of times without taken it off. You will wake up looking like a raccoon but it comes off. Just buy you some make up removers and take it off like that. But NO you cant get permanent rings around your eyes after sleeping with eye liner and mascara on!
no way I have done it for 30 years and no dark circles for me.
The makeup should come off if you have makeup remover!!!

Permanent lip liner?

Any permanent lip liner disasters out there other than wrong color?Permanent lip liner?
Don't do it, it fades and most doctors don't put it on the right places, so it makes your lips look huge, but not in a good way. %26lt;3Permanent lip liner?
I knew one who did black then it turns out to be violet. Her lips looked like she had heart problems... CREEPY!
My mom's friend had it done and they kind of went outside the lines of her mouth, and now she looks like the Joker.

Also, she says that she can only use one color lipstick now, because the rest don't match the lip liner tattoo.

Don't do it!!!!!!
the color fades
PLZ DONT DO IT CUZ THEN,WHAT IF U MEET A COOL GUY THAT DOESNT LIKE MAKEUP ON YOU

Permanent Eye Liner?

Any problems with getting it done? Tips? suggestions? anything?Permanent Eye Liner?
It looks weird when you go to put eye-shadow over it.Permanent Eye Liner?
1] research all places before you decide to get it done. Look for pics of satisfied customers, and DON'T go there if no pics.

2] I did brows and liner because I have very little of either, and they 'hairs' I have are almost colorless.

3] most places will apply numbing cream before hand - but it is NOT painless

4] do take some ibuprofen or tylenol afterwards, and use ice a few times the first day [ ice in zip lock bag, covered with paper towel or thin cloth] for 15 minutes at a time

5] I took a Benadryl the first night to prevent swelling, which worked very well

6] you must apply 'sterile' petroleum jelly three times a day for several days. Put a lot on at home; at work dab it on with a Qtip, an wipe any excess from skin so you won't look shiny.

7] bring a friend, in caseeyes are irritated, to drive home afterwards.

I LOVE MINE!

PERMANENT eye liner.. has anyone had it done?

what is the average cost??

how bad did it hurt?PERMANENT eye liner.. has anyone had it done?
Friend got it done. It dosen't look good. It looks like it hurts. Try Urban Decay's 24/7 glide on eye pencil. They stay on really longPERMANENT eye liner.. has anyone had it done?
i was with my cousin when she had it done. and ya it was painful. it also looks tacky. you'd probably look really pretty without eyeliner but dont get the tatoo stuff. it was just gross watching it being done and you dont want that. trust me. things dont really gross me out but for some reason that did.
it sounds like it would hurt a lot.

wouldn't it just be like getting a tattoo on your eye?
Permanent eyeeliner?

Thats the stupidest thing Ive ever heard of. It MUST look fake....
my moms friend had it done.

it looks bad and fake.

dont be lazy, maybe you look better with out eyeliner..

  • Does anyone have experience with permanent makeup like eyebrows or lip liner?

I just had permanent eye liner done a couple weeks ago. I am sensitive to regular makeup so this was a way to have some without looking like it's major allergy season all the time. It looks great and natural - I have gotten a lot of compliments on it. You just have to look for someone that is experienced. Look at their pictures and get recommendations if possible.

There is no general anesthetic. They have an anesthetic gel that is mainly lidocaine they put on the area and then it is about a half hour for it to work before they start the process. It is just tattooing it on. It can be a bit uncomfortable - the eye-liner they kind of have to hold you eyelids open but you just have to relax as each pass only takes about 30 seconds. During the proceedure if you start feeling pain you can ask for more gel to be applied. It was about an hour and a half from when i walked in to when I walked out. Like any tattoo you have to take care of it - keep it moisturized and it will flake and fade in healing from what it first looks like. the place i got mine has a follow-up in 4-5 weeks in case you want it darker (better to be to light than too dark) which I will have - just a tad darker on the bottom lids. Of course right after it is a bit red and swollen but that goes away fast. You can choose different pigments - I just had black and a brownish for the lower but some people like blue or purple. I have a friend getting her eye liner and lip liner done this week. they say the lips are more sensitive and I would imagine the brows less.

so theres my first hand experience. You can email me if you have any questions.Does anyone have experience with permanent makeup like eyebrows or lip liner?
its not a good thang!Does anyone have experience with permanent makeup like eyebrows or lip liner?
Permanent make-up (tattoos) is what you are talking about. I have a close friend who has had it done. If your health is great and you want a tattoo seek a professional shop that has done this for some time. Eye makeup (eye liner) requires that you be put under general anesthesia, My friend is diabetic and over weight, she coded two times on the table. This can be a major medical procedure. How ever if you are in great health go for it but first check out some of their previous patients and their work- Because ITS PERMANENT if they put it on heaver than you like it tooo bad. My friend does always look freshly made up and she got a good job done. Good luck and do your home work before you submit your self.
I don't have experience per say, however about ten years ago I did check into getting permanent eyeliner. It was going to cost me three hundred dollars, and they could only do one eye at the time, doing the other six weeks later. She told me the reason for this is that the eye would be swollen and turn black. To make a long story short. I chickened out.
I have seen it on people and a couple looked horrible. Just make sure it is a reputable place doing it. The eyebrows I saw looked too fake. I just figured these women had an inexperienced tattoo artist.
my lunch lady does call her at 1-440-i-suck
I ONLY KNOW A COUPLE OF PEOPLE WITH IT- BUT THEIRS LOOKS LIKE PENCIL LINER- NOT A NATURAL ENHANCEMENT...BUT LIKE WELL..PERMANENT MAKEUP.
I don't have personal exsperience, but i did see a show where the lady had a permanent lip liner and over time her skin loosened so the lip line started upward and over time it was in the middle of her lip.Maybe you can give some thought to that
If seeing some one with permanent eyebrows is experience, then yest I have experience. It looks ridiculous and stupid. I do not understand why people do that. Don't do it.
permanent and makeup sounds just as scary as eating something in the airport from the TERMINAL snack bar LOL

um permanent like how you can rub sharpie from the table or permanent like oilbase primer on your bran new tiled floor?

either way it sounds like a bad idea and I think you would probably be cute without any at all!

better stick to the stuff you buy at the store!
I don't have experience, but my friend has it. She has permanant eyebrows, well it's under her eyebrow just so she knows where to pluck, she also has eyeliner and lip liner that are permanant. They look very good, but the eye procedure is a bit riskey...be careful, do more research yourself too...remember once it's there, you have it forever.

Is there any danger or risk for permanent eye liner??

ok so my mom wants to ';tatto'; eye liner on permantely and i wanted to know if there was ANY dangers or risks...thanxIs there any danger or risk for permanent eye liner??
No one seems to be having a problem with it.

I had it done several years ago and don't regret it. It does look too dark at first but fades pretty fast. It looks natural now. When your mother gets 80, she won't look bad like someone else said.

They use a topical anesthetic and that does help with the pain. It is not unbearable. I also had my lips done. Now that is VERY painful.

I don't understand all the criticism. Has anyone actually heard of some horrid infection caused by cosmetic tattooing? Is there any danger or risk for permanent eye liner??
eh i would say that i think tatoos are pretty dangerous period..

Something could go wrong.. i've read stuff up about it..

Why doesnt she just use waterproof eyeliner or something? That stuff stays on pretty long.. Suppose she gets tired of it? Well its your moms descision.. getting a tattoo period is pretty risky... Make sure the place she gets it done is reliable
the biggest concern is that the people who do cosmetic tattoos usually work in salons and such, and usually don't have previous experience with tattoos. they take a course (usually for a very short period of time) and are then ';certified'; to do cosmetic makeup. because they are unexperienced, the ink can go too deep (potential blood poisoning) or too shallow (causing it to leak out).

in many salons, there is also a lack of proper hygiene; they don't have autoclaves for their instruments. this is how diseases and viruses are spread.

as long as you are VERY careful, there shouldn't be any major complications.
i think that if you put it on i could cause pink eye and redness arond your eye so no do not where it
well, it would probably hurt REALLY badly, plus, if the style changes and she no longer wants that color or shape of liner, shess be stuck with it.
I know a few people who have had that done. It looks great fo awhile but needs to be retouched every so often. I was told it hurt more than a regular tattoo does.
There are dangers in any tatoo service. its done with needles and dye. you run the risk of infection as with anything. Ive see it done and knew people that did it an havent ever seen infections or reactions but im sure that have been. Make sure you use a reputable esthetician and have a consult done before hand and even ask to see others they have done or numbers so u can call there clients and ask. Then you will feel better. GL
the only risk is having to show up to church as an 85 year old and have on black eyeliner. . . the only risk is humliation
im all about tattoos, not so much getting my eyelid tattood. aside the risk that i think there is a high chance of my eyeball being stabbed, im sure there isn't anything else that is too serious. styles change, i would advise her to not get makeup permanently tattooed.
Tell her not to get that done. Think about it, would you always want heavy black eyeliner on no matter what? I mean sometimes you want to wear none or just eyeliner on the top, for a soft pretty look.

Also about the answer above, I don't know many people that go to get cosmetic tattooing in salons and beauty places, it is actually offered in most real tattooing places. My friend's mom got it done...she regrets it.
Well, it probably wouldn't be in the same place when she is 60.

    Anyone have permanent eye liner?

Does it actually stay ';black'; pernamently? because if it fades i wouldn't even bother getting it done.Anyone have permanent eye liner?
Technically, permanent cosmetics procedures are considered permanent because the color is implanted into the upper reticular part of the dermal layer of the skin and cannot be washed off. However, as with any tattoo, fading can and often does occur, requiring periodic maintenance, color re-enhancement or color re-freshing. Just like hair color, furniture that may be located near a window, or even house paint, pigment implanted in the skin may fade with time. It is important to consider this and all aspects of the procedure when selecting a potential permanent cosmetic makeup technician.

    LornaAnyone have permanent eye liner?
my mom those! she had that shizznit done in mexico! lol...looked funny at first but they stay black for a long time
yes one of my anuts has it and she put the white line on top of the black one and it looks so cool but it she has it done for a while and the lady that told her said that it was gonna last for like 2 or more years but then you can get it a retouch but now it looks so cool it really looks like she puts it on everyday not like is a tattoo
I wouldn't do that. It will fade over time. I don't understand why people get that anyway. It only takes a minute to put on eyeliner.
DONT DO IT! just like any other tattoo it will fade. plus it will start to sag once you get older and you could end up with black lines on the side of your face not on your eyes...another point is that what if the 2 mins your trying to save everyday is going to go out of style in a year? they can remove it but not without the cost, pain and some scarring and/or evidence that its been removed. my step mom got hers done a regretted it about 2 months down the road. be careful!
My neighbor had hers done about 3 years ago and hers has faded, but she is always out sunning herself and I don't think the word sunscreen is in her dictionary! LOL From what I have heard I think if you keep it out of the sun it should look good for about 7 to 10 years and it needs to be retouched after that. Lips don't last that long, around 3 to 4 years because of sun exposure.

Did you regret having tattooed your permanent lip-liner?

If you've done this... how does it look?... any feedback would be appreciated!Did you regret having tattooed your permanent lip-liner?
horrible! It hurts because it swells up so bad. And they ended up doing it the wrong color so it wasn't the color I wanted. But after that, I didn't wanna go through it again cause it was so painful, so now I have to wear lipstick over it. I wouldn't recommend it to any1Did you regret having tattooed your permanent lip-liner?
    dont do it
anyone who gets lipliner tattooed on needs some help-i would definitely regret it if got lipliner tattooed onto my face!
i've never had it but i wouldnt bcuz then if theres something u want without lipliner than u couldnt do it. And if u do than just put it on i would never do it
i wouldnt do it cause they'll do it a certain color, and it might not match every thing u wear
Whoever gets their lipliner tattooed on they should be laughed at.
Nope, I'm happy with it. Although it's faded quite a bit since I had it done, it definitely makes the lips look fuller. HTH : )
    Yup I sure do.
I think that it would swell up too much to be worth all of the trouble and later on if you want different colors it would be a pain to get removed
i know my aunt did that. i dont' think it'd be worth it. i have four tats myself...but i wouldn't tattoo makeup on. there are days you just don't wear it anyway. you'd be stuck with the same color all the time too. who wants that?
I haven't done it, but i dont recommend it cuz the color probably wont be right and cuz the way you do your makeup will change, but the tattoo will always be there. try a gloss instead...it looks ALOT better! :)
i have never done it or ever thought about it. if your thinking about doing it then i say hell no. it's ugly and you will hate it l8er. it's not that hard to put on REAL lip liner even though i still think lip liner is super ugly. go natral. yuck! please. no. don't do it. good luck %26lt;3333

    Emily
I would never do it bc as you age your lips ';go south,'; and then it can't be too pretty. Also, you could develop a later allergy to the ink dyes and then what???
it not that good, what if you want to change the color? you wouldn't be able to
my friend's mom did it and it looks great on her..she's lightish and she did it a purplish-brownish shade n it matches w/pretty much everything she wears..it has faded slightly after a while though so that may be one down-side to it

I was wondering men could have permanent brown lip liner that doesn't look made up?

Probably not. Even women who get the permanent lip liner look made up. Also, you have to have the lipstick to match the liner, so when your favorite lipstick gets discontinued - you're in trouble.

Basically, people shouldn't be wearing permanent lip liner unless it's to help with a facial problem.I was wondering men could have permanent brown lip liner that doesn't look made up?
i see no reason why you can't have it done. it will define your lips and if you want to wear lipstick or gloss it will complete the look. go 4 it

Can u get permanent eye liner ?

i read some were age's ago that u can get lazier eye liner and it lasts for 2 years doe's anyone know were and how much it would cost? Can u get permanent eye liner ?
yeah its a bit like a tatoo but often looks tacky and sometimes you might not want to go for the eyeliner look

but its your choice i think you have to contact a plastic surgeonCan u get permanent eye liner ?

yeah you can the prices ranges from $300 to $1000.

Permanent cosmetics are permanent in that you will always have a permanent marking on your skin. However, over time, you will notice a gradual softening of color occuring each year. Many women feel that this is advantageous, as they feel that their permanent makeup will age with them.
yes its true you can get that done and it lasts even longer than two years. i wouldnt suggest it however and neither would carmidy from what not to wear. its too permanent and if you ever wanted to change up your look you couldnt. plus, what if the person makes a mistake, youll be stuck with it for @ least 2 yrs. and in most cases i have noticed it is too harsh making you look like a raccon in prison
    yes you can,

not to much money 395-430 pounds

not worth it tho my aunt had it,

changed her mind 1 year through took 3 years nearly to come off.

    good luck x
You would need to find a tattoo artist that specializes in permanent make-up application.
yeah you can do that. i duntt anything else aobut it but it lasts for 2 years
you could tattoo it on but it's soooo painful it's unbelievable. (:

  • Anyone had permanent eye liner done?

how good is it? does it last? look natural? does it hurt?Anyone had permanent eye liner done?
I know someone who did it, it looks good it actually looks like she has eyeliner on. Even though she got this done she still wears eyeliner on top just to intensify the look.Yes it looks natural. I can't remember what she said if it hurt or not, but I would imagine it does.Anyone had permanent eye liner done?
Personally, i have never had it done. If you are referring to a tattoo eyeliner that is gross. I have seen it on many people and it looks so stupid. Because once you get it done it is there for life. And once you get old your skin on your face changes and you get more wrinkles. The eyeliner will end up in a totally different place! It looks seminatural but not for long. The tattoo eyeliner somewhat fades as your take off your other makeup and you tan and your face changes. Most likely it will hurt a lot because all tattoos do and your eyes are very sensitive.

Just being honest. Hope i helped.
It hurts, It lasts-but will fade away and you will have to go get it re-touched. It does not look natural.

I have a friend who has it done and its not cute. at all. Stick with drawing it on-if you mess up-wipe it off.

Also to vary it up with eyeliner pencils-use brown, black, deep purple, and an array of blues to have fun making your eyes stand out.
My grandmother had it done. A long time ago. It looks ok. I actually just found out recently that she had it done. It looks like she did it herself actually (putting the eyeliner on herself, not the procedure). I don't think it's worth the money. It doesn't look any different.
dont...you will not be in the same mind state 20 yrs from now.

dont be lazy...apply it yourself..and have fun. my aunt has it done and it looks ...horrible! after the yrs go by...and IT DOES FADE TO A DIFFERENT COLOR.

ps- dont even think about doing it to your eye brows next........lol :)

    21.f.cali
my mom did. It was awful and it looked so fake. and cheap. It's best just to stick with the regular product, in my opinion.
i know someone who had it done and they're looks really nice but it did fade from black to blue over ten or twenty years. it probably does hurt lol

I have this permanent lip liner want to remove....?

i have done a consultation for it, and they told me they inject a removal substance! that can eat up the pigments. do you think this is safe and right to do? please let me know.I have this permanent lip liner want to remove....?
I would be very cautious - they didn't tell you what was in it? MANY of these potions scar. Other than salt water removal, I would not trust anything but laser removal from a doctor who has done lip tattooing removal.

Many clients I see with bad lip liners end up success stories. I use salt water to adjust the color and generally reshape the lip and blend everything together to provide full lip color. I hate lip liner alone - it always looks like you forgot the rest of your makeup.I have this permanent lip liner want to remove....?
Well, sadly it is pretty much the only thing you can do. The injections would be alot better than getting it laserically removed. Good Luck
I would be afraid of it eating my skin as well!

Keep in mind that no matter how it is removed you will most likely have scarring.
if you want it gone...they know what theyre talking about

Who has ever had semi permanent eye liner answer this? 10 points for best answer!!?

What hurts more .. semi permanent eye make up OR a tattoo..

by the way who ever has had semi permanent eyeliner before can you please explain to me what it felt like?!Who has ever had semi permanent eye liner answer this? 10 points for best answer!!?
I had permanent eyeliner done on my upper lashline (not lid) and it didn't hurt too bad at all. It was nice to have done because the effect is to make the lashline appear thicker, which it did.

Just be careful- you can also end up with an eye infection very easily during the process. Luckily, I didn't.Who has ever had semi permanent eye liner answer this? 10 points for best answer!!?
I never had either done.. BUT I know someone who got the semi permanent eye make up.. and she regrets it. She doesn't like the color and wishes she never got it done. She can't try other make up because the permanent stuff just shows through. And it's on your face so you can't cover it if you wanted. The tattoo you can get anywhere on your body and it doesn't effect your look because it's not where people first look at you. You can get that easily removed if you don't like it.

bottom line. tattoo is better than permanent eye make up
There is a brand of eyeliner called Styli-Style, I buy it at CVS. It is a 24 hour formula. They market it as semi-permanent, but it is just a really good, regular eyeliner! Please don't get a tattoo on your eyelids. First of all, you could get an infection, loose your eyelashes, or go BLIND! And second, fashion trends change and you could end up not liking it in a few years!
I have heard of it. I do not recommend it. We still do not know whether permanent ink might do serious damage to your body, but some researchers believe so.
maybeline little light blue bottle, its liqid..

Permanent lip liner or semi lip color?

Ok I have been wanting to get permanent lip liner to give me that full lip appearance, like a natural permanent lip liner that blends into my lips but on the other hand I would be happy with a really long lasting lip color that will at least all day through eating and everything.

Which is the best? I have used MAC and revlon colorstay revlon I think works better it is okay but is there anything better that REALLY stays on?Permanent lip liner or semi lip color?
Any permanent thing scars me a lot. In fashion world everything changes in a heart beat. You might regret it years later for that decision. Another thing is, sometmes the color of the ink chages. That happened to one of my friend. She got very very light eyebrows in collega, 10 years later, the color turned into a blueish dark, and it is not looking goodPermanent lip liner or semi lip color?
My lips are tattooed a very soft pink. It looks like I always have lip color on, but it isn't overwhelming. I had to go twice to get it to this color. If I want it darker I can always wear a different color over it. I had it done from an outside angle, so they appear a little fuller than they did before, but I don't look ridiculous.

I get a lot of compliments on it.
A stain, many brands have them,
oh. my. god. i think i broke a nail!

I want to have a permanent eye liner tattoo. Would you recommend?

I love tattoos and I would say don't get it. This is the first time i've told anyone not to get tattooed but i've also seen women with it done. As you get older it is going to look different and the skin around your eyes is going to change quite a bit. If you plan on getting black eye liner then it may look kind of funny when you're older with bags under your eyes and you look like a raccoon. I'd just use normal eyeliner that way you can change the color when you want and you can wipe it off.I want to have a permanent eye liner tattoo. Would you recommend?
I think permanent eyeliner is great. I have been getting it for about 5years. It does not hurt as they put drops in the eye b/4 they start. It is not that expensive and it lasts for 1-2 yrs depending on the persons skin.It looks great when you get up in the morning.I say Go For It. Report Abuse
I want to have a permanent eye liner tattoo. Would you recommend?
I would say no... because it's so fun to play with different eyeliners and make up looks !

plus, you won't ever be able to be bare faced or totally natural looking, and when you get older (as in a senior) you won't want to have eyeliner on at all !

it is also painful and expensive...

    definitely not worth it !

work your natural beauty with pencil or liquid eyeliners if you want that look =)

    good luck =)
    I would not.

It looks terrible if it isn't done PERFECT.

And even then it will change color/fade and change shape as your eye changes and wrinkles over time.

And its your eye area, so there isn't any way to remove it.

You will be stuck with it.

A wise decision would be no.
I recommend that you do not. Sometimes it comes out uneven and after a while it starts to fade and looks sloppy. Just buy a nice, soft eyeliner instead.
I wouldn't do it.. don't get me wrong I have 4 tattoos, but as everyone always says, ';what's it going to look like when your 80'; ...and like someone else said, you wouldn't be able to change your makeup if you wanted.
I personally don't like the way it looks, but if you get it, make sure the guy knows what he's doing, and has done it MANY times before. Look at his album and make sure it's what you want. I have heard that it's really painful also....
That's a risk that you have to take. It may look good for the rest of your life. or it may be done and look hideous for the rest of your life. I wouldn't recommend it
Don't do it, cuz what if you want to do something different with your make up and then for the rest of your life you're stuck with the same plain eyeliner.
Personally, I think it looks weird and fake. But if you must, then ask around to find the best place to do it at.
I dont reccomend this, super painful =O

the ink will fade too so u may have to do it again and again waste of money and effort.

go for it if you really want it, lots of women have it.

    just dont go too dark.
Not if you want to be a saggy old ink-filled bag when youre like 70 years old.

is that the weird looking permanent line around the lips that tattooed on? My friend had it done and she looked like a clown. She had it all frozen off. I would never permanent mark my face, it looks awful and false
check out www.marykay.com/rebecca and try the virtual make-over. TheMary Kay lipsticks are wonderful. They give you suggestions and application techniques. It is great.
If you can line it with other colors of lipliner, you can play putting off the pink for another color, like a deep brick red or a desert mauve.
I request you not to use any kind of the permanent colours or make ups for ur face it leads to allergy as well as dark spots on face in later stages.Better for good looking sake just use the normal gloss which is washable. This technique will surely help you.

  • I have this permanent lip liner want to remove....?

i have done a consultation for it, and they told me they inject a removal substance! that can eat up the pigments. do you think this is safe and right to do? please let me know.I have this permanent lip liner want to remove....?

Has anyone had permanent eye liner done?

What was your experience-- good or bad? Or have you seen a bad job on someone else?

I was thinking of getting it done-- as a very fine thin line, but still have not decided.Has anyone had permanent eye liner done?
Lots of people get it done because it saves a lot of time in the morning. Yes, it is painful but it depends on who you go to, some use anesthetics, some ice. Also depends on you, some say, tattooing eyelids hurt the most, some say eyebrows. Look at the person who is doing you, do you like how they look? Look at her other customers. Select someone who does it how you want it done. But don't be too extreme or you may go out of style.Has anyone had permanent eye liner done?
I did that 4 years ago and it was the worse pain I have ever toerated!!!!!!!!!! I also was allergic to the dye and missed a full week of work with swollen eyes. be very careful, mine looks good now but I would NOT do it again
i known people that have done it and they all said it hurts really bad. Think about it really good cause its permanent. Alot of girls that i know that got it done, looked really nice. Good luck!
I got it done about 2 years ago.

The most important thing is to find someone who's reputable. The pain for me was not bad at all -- like a little paper cut, but not quite as sharp. It lasted for about 2-3 days.

I really like it. But, if I had it to do over again, I don't know that I would. It does get a little boring.

    On the other hand, when you roll out of bed late in the morning and don't have time for makeup, you look ';finished.';
    Don't do it! : (
i've seen people who have done have bad reactions to and i have seen people who have done and nothing happened to them, but I wouldn't recommend it because make up styles change and some people who are doing permanent these days make up aren't even trained to do it. If you do it pick the best place where you know people are trained in permanent make up.
My aunt did it and it hurt like mad! I wouldn't do it because you really NEVER KNOW how you'll feel about it later on. Putting eyeliner on doesn't take much time or effort anyway so why go for something so drastic and permanent.
This is not a good idea , I mean its permenent! You will soon wan't it off!
Like any other tattoo the line spreads a little over time and fades, just stay out of the sun. I got my lips tattoo'd I love them. I always have on lipstick
i knew two people who got it they got it done at the same place by the same person one girls looked great the others looked terrible....i think the reason was because of their skin color the girl who was like a peanut butter complexions looked great and like it fit with her face but the lighter ones looked so fake
no why would you get that?
I wouldn't. If you are like me, you will eventually get tired of it for some reason or another and will want the option to get rid of it.
In my opinion, it never looks good. People have said it hurts like hell, and it just makes you look trashy, no matter who you are. Just take the extra ten minutes in the morning to put on eyeliner every day. It'll be worth it in the long run.
my girl friend has it done to her eyes and brow....she hates it now....it has turned green...because it will...and she can;t just do natural...because you see the green...she still has to draw in the lines...so it's really a waist of time ans money...and you may get an infection.....
My mom has it. It'll get very boring, because you'll might wanna change a different color eyeliner.
Don't know about eyeliner but my aunt had eyebrows done and said that she will never do it again because of the extreme pain. You are getting a tatoo when you do that and some areas like around the eyes or over the shoulder blade hurt worse than others like the fleshy part of your arm or calf.
my aunt got it done nothin happened just do it
A lady I worked with had it done, it hurt like crazy, couldn't wear her contacts for about 2 days, and it wears off after a few weeks. She had to get hers done every 6-8 weeks. She also had the lip cosmetic done and said it felt like being dragged by your lips on cement. It looked good, though!

Has anyone had permanent make up done on their upper lid as eye liner?

I am thinking of having this done, I have black eyelashes %26amp; of Indian origin %26amp; just wear black mascara or sometimes clear %26amp; wondered if this would look too harsh? %26amp; how permanent %26amp; safe is this?Has anyone had permanent make up done on their upper lid as eye liner?
Permanent-meaning forever. The problem is, its a tattoo, when you are 50 yrs old, how will it look then? as your eyes change with age, your tattoo wont. I wouldnt consider it seriously.Has anyone had permanent make up done on their upper lid as eye liner?
i wanna get it done eventually too(i'm only 15). It's just a tattoo, and apparently it's very safe. Dont get like a big thick line or anything, just a thin one. It'll never come off remember, so dont go too dramatic.
    hi gal,

it is not advisable, as it will be very painful and ugly after a few years. i just dont like it, i only do eyebrow embroidery. eyebrow is more important as it will brighten up your look
It's basically a tattoo on your eyelid, so if you don't like it, there's not much you can do about it. It tends to look very harsh and really takes the beauty out of your eyes. Especially with Indian girls, it can just crowd your face and make your eyes look to harsh. A light eyeliner on the bottom rim and on special occasions a thin stroke of liquid eyeliner on the top lid will give you a striking effect.
apparently Amy winehouse has it, but i don't wear eyeliner but if you get it done make sure you get it done professionally not the cheapest place.
i have a friend who got it under her eye. ummm its expensive and u have to get it done 3 times for it to be effective. but then it only really lasts for a yr or so because its not that deep and it fades.

plus she said its an annoying feeling getting it done

Will Permanent Lip Liner look natural?

Has anyone had permanent lip liner or know anyone who has? Do the results look natural? Will Permanent Lip Liner look natural?
I think lip liner has somewhat gone out of style, but maybe if it was a light color or neutral it would look natural. Will Permanent Lip Liner look natural?
It does not look natural when you get older, my exboyfriend's mom had it done and now that she's an older lady it does not right at all.

She had it done in a dark burgundy color so when she's not wearing any makeup at all. She has an unhealthy look.

I saw pictures when she first did it and it didn't look like lipliner, it looked like a bright red marker. My ex said that it took a long time to get used to her when she was not wearing make up.
That's sorta outta style, get non-permanent so you can change it if you dont like it.
    probably not.

face it, when your skin and area around your mouth wrinkles, it will look really weird.
Lip Liner is out of style. My aunt did it a few months ago, and she says she already regrets it, it doesn't look natural!
don't do it...lip liner is out of style and you will be mad at yourself
Yeah, I wouldn't do such a thing. I really think you'd live to regret it one day.

  • Where is the best place in the Philippines to get a semi-permanent eye liner?

the only place i know are the salons and derma clinics that offers tatoo eye liner just ask first the staffs and make sure that you go to trusted salons like Ricky Reyes, David's Salon. If you like derma clinics try to inquire in Dermstrata (another clinic of Vicky Belo) or if you have wide budget you can go straightly to Belo Medical Group or Manny Calayan...the names and salons I mentioned are the most trusted salons and professionals...As for the specific place, derma clinics and salons are scattered everywhere (in case your a tourist and new here)...just don't go to local salons and unfamiliar derma clinics because many are fake and oppurtunists...You can go to shopping malls they provide many trusted salons and derma clinics but also make sure to ask for their concerns so that you would know what to do in case something bad happened..Goodluck!Where is the best place in the Philippines to get a semi-permanent eye liner?
I don't know of semi permanent, but I do know that there are salons that do tattoo make up, like they would tattoo your eyebrows or eyeliner. Ask around at salons, some of them advertise it.

What type of gel eye liner is the most permanent?

I tried some femm cotour (probably spelled that wrong) gel liner (cheap junk anyway). It smudges off even hours later as if it's still wet. What type of gel liner wont smudge, will dry fast and has very good staying power? I haven't tried Mac fluidline gel liner yet? Is that any good? What type of gel eye liner is the most permanent?
    Stila Smudgepots.

It will stay on and perfect until you wash it off.

I haven't tried the MAC one, but most of their stuff works perfectly, so I'm sure it does. What type of gel eye liner is the most permanent?
Fluidline is my favorite gel liner. It has great staying power and is easy to apply. Also it comes in a ton of colors so you can change your look as often as you like. I use it on my clients as much as possible. Just make sure you have a very thin brush. It gives you more control. I use the #210 Precise Eye liner Brush. It's my favorite. Hope this helps.

i hate doing my eyeliner, but do i want to go as drastic as tattooing it?Insight on permanent eye liner? Is it worth the money and pain?
Dont do it, one of my friends did it and it looked terrible, but she couldnt remove. Also sometimes it can be dangerous too. With a very good eyeliner you wont have problem drawing, like pencil eyeliners.Insight on permanent eye liner? Is it worth the money and pain?
not painful at all, and after time it lightens. i would do it! and i know several people that have had it done and love it!
Ooooh .. i don't know.. it might turn out looking funny, then there is NO going back!
No. You probably don't even need eyeliner to look good. If you don't feel like putting it on, don't.
DON'T do it, skin changes and sags but that eyeliner line WON'T!
I have just my top done VERY LIGHTLY... its not heavy at all. It hurt worse than any other tattoo of mine...i really wouldn't recommend it.
    NO u do not
for me, it's not a good idea. You cannot undo it once you go through the procedure, you'll never know if you would look good on it or not till it's done.
are you kidding? its not worth it at all, what if you get tired of that color. plus if your a guy, when your older you will think that is a pretty silly mistake.
It is not worth the trouble and can cause infection if not done properly
You Dont want to do that!!! Try with normal Eyeliner. It would hurt for a tattoo!!! I would rather do eyeliner!!!!! but its up to you!
i wouldn't just for the simple reason fashions change, styles change,.... you don't want to get stuck in the past
well this is only my opinion - i really think its worth it because my mom had tattooed eyeliner when she was in her 20s and now she is 43 and its still on there and it looks natural. however, it is quite painful and your eyes will be a bit red and swollen aferward. It does last forever, though and just fades a litle bit. If you're willing to put up with the pain, its worth it because its really convienient, However you dont like needles and stuff dont get tattooed eyeliner.
No, I wouldn't. You might want to get rid of it. Plus, I hope you don't have small eyes. Eye liner makes your eyes really tiny. I want to tattoo a mole like that model, so I can relate
nah i wudnt do it, i know some one who had it done and when they had no make-up on they looked ridicualous, it looks quite horrible! putting on eyeliner takes no longer than like 2minutes anyway lol

a sharpener to get it to sharpen. Ask the people

at Sephora they sell different types of sharpeners

one for pencils, and the other ones for plastic-like

pencils. That is like my MakeUpForever eyeliner.

You have to buy a special sharpener for it ;)

Why would you want clear lip liner? You can't see it anyways.
    Walgreens.
Clear lipliner is fabulous! It keeps lipstick from feathering without creating that completely outdated darker lip liner ring. Avon sells a clear lip liner in their Glimmerstick line. That's the one I use, love it!
I've got some that I bought at Target.
now seriously. does that sound logical? thats like buying hairspray that doesnt hold.
I'm not sure why you would want clear lipliner... You can't see it so it's just a waste of money and time. How did you even find out that clear lipliner existed?

Do you like the look of lipliner?

yes my girlfriend use it. it looks goodDo you like the look of lipliner?
I like lipliner with a similar color lipstick. I hate the dark liner with light lipstick. I especially despise the old look of black lipliner with frosty pink lipstick. Bleh!Do you like the look of lipliner?
    yes
no, lipliner should not even be sold to the general public. the only thing its good for is for makeup artists doing makeup for tv, stage or print. the end.
as long as you fill it in with lippy
oh ya i do and matched up with glossy lips WOW! that look always works
It's funny, because I think it looks great and actually makes the lips look fuller and sexier if used right. Sometimes it even looks sexy if it is a little bit mismatched.
    no
Depends. If you wear dark lip liner, with a see thru gloss, I think that looks cheap and trashy. Use lipliner how it is supposed to be. With a matching color that enhances it! No more metal lips!
sure as long as you don't go crazy with it like too dark colors or too light colors
Yeh I wear it all the time!
yes on certain people it looks nice. But it also depends on what shade of lipstick they use
yes, it really sets off your lipstick!!!
Only if it closely matches the shade of lipstick -- too dark lipliner is ghastly.
If it is dark I like a dark cherry or burgundy. I have some MAC liners and they work great. I lean toward brown, russet, and red. I have used the liner as a color-in for the lipstick and it makes a deep color that stays on forever.
For me to like it it would have to be :

-of a color verrrry close to the actual lipstick you use. (I don't like

it when someone looks as if she didn't have the right lipliner

at hand, and so just put on what WAS at hand)

-brought on very precise....actually, for me you should hardly

be able to notice the lipliner.....it should just add that little bit

extra your lips need to look perfect.

    Girls: do you use lipliner?

just lipstick or both? or only gloss?Girls: do you use lipliner?
lipliner and glossGirls: do you use lipliner?
noooooo. i just use one of those things they sell that has half the color and the other half gloss-- its like colored lip gloss i guess? haha sorry i forget the name but i think thats better thank lipstick and lipliner stands out too much most of the time and looks ugly -- it kinda makes your lips look fake. idk - if it looks good on you than i guess its fine to wear it

I only wear lipstick on special occassions, but I wear lip gloss everyday. Even at bedtime ;]
If I'm wearing an intense color like Red then yes, or it'd be a mess, if I'm wearing a pale color then no, there's no need for it.
gloss. and lipstick on special occasions. lipliner seems a bit redundant, at least to me.
I don't normally use make up, I'm a natural kind of gal I suppose... But I have used lip liner when I put lipstick on. But nothing to drastic maybe a pale pinkish brown with a light brown liner.
You're only supposed to use lip liner if you have thin lips but mine are the complete opposite so I just wear gloss.
Just gloss. Lipstick with clear gloss for fancy special occasions. =)
Tinted chapstick, actually. I prefer the healthy, natural shine look.
Liner and lipstick. It looks ridiculous to only use liner.
Just gloss. I don't find it necessary and some girls wear dark liner with light lipstick or gloss and that looks terrible.
gloss... lip liner reminds me of cholas... lol [gangster female mexicans... if you didn't know lol]
    Lipliner, and lipstick
Just chapstick and the occasional gloss.
I only wear them when I have to for dance performances or contests, if not, I wear chapstick! =]
    Just gloss...well not even gloss...chapstick
all three, lip liner first, lip stick, then gloss on top.

    Lip pencils & lipliner help?

i need professional advice from girls on putting on lip pencils %26amp; lipliner, im a 19 year old boy who wears girls makeup in private for funLip pencils %26amp; lipliner help?
Ok, I'm assuming you're just asking how to apply it?

A lot of girls make the mistake of lining the OUTSIDE of their lips with lip pencil, thinking it makes their lips look fuller. In MOST cases, it looks best if you don't go outside of the colored part of your lips. Keep the pencil right inside of your lip border.

To prevent shakiness, keep your hand steady by resting it on your chin.

Do not, I repeat, DO NOT outline your lips in a dark red and fill them in with a light shade of lipstick. It looks so trashy. Outline your lips in almost the exact same shade you want to color them in with. If you want the lip color to last longer, you can even color your whole lip with the lip pencil, then put the lip stick on over it.Lip pencils %26amp; lipliner help?

    .
sometimes what I do is on special nights I put lipliner on. And of coarse you have to have the lipliner/lip pencil color to be darker than your lip color of not any at all!
lipliner is quite good for making lipstick stay on longer, i usually use a natural colour (MAC's Subculture is a popular one). Definitely stay within the boundaries of your natural lip line and fill in with feathery strokes.
    Max Factor - long lasting
    ask your mum or girlfriend
Alright, you have issues. You're asking how to apply lipstick and eyebrow pencils. I think your need for advice lies far beyond how to apply makeup.
go with something that looks natural a shade deeper than you own lipcolor
Lip liners will help you define your lips more effectively, but you should use a shade of lipstick which is as close to the liner as possible.

  • Nude lipliner?

I'm looking for a cheap, clear, lipliner and I found one but it says it's ';Nude.'; does that mean it is clear?Nude lipliner?
Think of nude as the same you would for nude pantyhose. Not invisible but a match to your skin tone!Nude lipliner?
No, nude does not mean clear. It will be a color similar to fleshtone, or a little deeper, to mimic the natural someone's natural coloring.

Now if you want something truly clear, Sally Hansen makes a clear lip liner called ';Invisible Lip Liner'; and all products from that line tend to be pretty good and inexpensive.

    See it here:

You can probably get this at any drugstore or a Target type place. Hope that helps!
Nude means its flesh tone, as in the the color of your skin. I dont think you can buy a clear ,as in crystal, lipliner, but if your looking for a natural look, I would stick with a nude lipliner that goes with your complexion or lip tone.

    Lipliner question...?

ok so i went makeup shopping today and instead of picking up 2 lots of eyeliner

i pick up one lipliner instead

the colour is indain pink by rimmel london

    i was wondering

a)how can i apply it to my potential

b)will this colour look ok on me (im really pale with pale lips and light blue eyes)

    c) what colour lipstick/gloss should i put with it

    sorry for so many question

    all help greatly appricatedLipliner question...?
Its lipliner so you can use it on your lips. you can use it as eyeliner if you go out to a club or something for a funky colour. I had a friend use pink eyeliner before as blush...but youd have to blend blend and its so much work!

Pink looks good on people with pale skin. WAY better then red lips usually. the lipstick you use should be about the same colour, you don't want the lip liner to stand out. the liner should be about a shade or two darker though.

if you don't know how to use lip liner just ask!

if you have not opened it, and it is sealed you should be able to return it.

have fun with your make up and try diffrent things. good luck!Lipliner question...?
Only use it as lip liner if your wearing a matching lipstick as liner should be very close to your natural lip colour but you could probly still wear it if the lipstick matched it .

Put it on in short light strokes and you can fill in any thinner bits of your lip a bit too just do it subtly. it stops your lipstick bleeding too.

you can use it as blush if you rub it on the back of your hand and then mix it with a bit of vaseline or something it will look nice and shiny like a highlighter as well.

If the colour is how I imagine it I think it will suit you you could even draw in your whole lips with it and put a gloss on top.

. How do I apply lipliner?

A lipliner should be used along your natural lipline unless you have very thin lips. In that case, extend outside of the natural line. A natural shade of liner is best or you can add more drama with a bright or darker shade. Be sure to blend the lipliner and the lipstick with a lipbrush.. How do I apply lipliner?

choose a neutral colour or the colour nearest to your lip color. if u have thin lips then draw a thick line outside your natural lip line, u will need a steady hand to do that. blend well. fill in lip color and use a gloss. this will make your lips look fuller. If u have full lips then line your lips on the inside and apply lipcolor. It is generally said that u should use dark colours if u have full lips and light frosted ones if they are thin. But theres no harm in experimenting, chose what suits u best ! '' WISH U A GREAT YEAR AHEAD''.
Whatever you do, don't buy liner darker than your lipstick. I see a lot of women do that, and it looks so trailer trash. You shouldn't see that you're wearing it, there shouldn't be a distinct line. Just follow the natural line of your lips, then fill in with lipstick.
Outline your lips then shade it in with lipstick.
    Ofcourse with hands

Do you prefer lipstick or lipliner???

i wear only lipliner as i find it stays on longer!Do you prefer lipstick or lipliner???
Hi I have just started to wear lip liner as I have just manganged to find one that suits my skin and lip tone. But I genuinly prefer lipgloss as it stays on longer, and makes you lips look natural and it isnt hard to find a shade that matches you skin tone as it is when looking to buy a lip liner or lip stick, as sometimes they are too dark or too light. But with lip gloss it matches well and lasts longer and doesnt dry out lips like most lip sticks do, even the moisturising ones.

But I now like wearing lip gloss with lip liner. I use a tiny amount of the Loreal Glam Shine lip gloss, only a little bit as it goes on thick but once it drys it stay put for hours.Do you prefer lipstick or lipliner???
I use and prefer both with a touch of gloss as well. I use Mary Kay signature products and find my gloss is the only thing I need to reapply. The lip liner and lipstick (especially the new limited edition lip pencils) last 8-10 hours. Hint: slightly lick your lips before sipping drinks and your lip color will not come off on your glass or straw. :)
Neither-its all Whale blood etc,,,, NATURAL IS BEST NO MATER WHAT EVERYONE THINKS,

Be honest was you born into this world with lip-gloss on--NO, so why bother know-beauty is skin deep and in the eye of the be-holder..
I wear both as I prefer an outline as well. I blend it in if the match is not very good!!

    LIPLINER AND LIPGLOSS,

lip liner does not have a good look applied alone
lip gloss! coz its easy to apply (no need for mirror to re-apply!) and usually come in lots of yummy flavours!
    lipstick without a doubt
I prefer to color in my lips with lipliner and add a light coating of lipstick or clear gloss. I stick with a natural colored pencil; nothing looks more dated than brown lipliner or more foolish than a woman who obviously lines her lips, trying to make them appear them appear larger. Yikes!
I prefer lipgloss, because if you get a tinted one, it provides the color of a lipstick, but doesn't smudge anywhere with kissing!!
    Neither, lipgloss
Both for me as I thin lips.
    Lipstick.
    Deff. Lipstick
the whole point of lipliner is to keep your lipstick color from feathering. you're supposed to put on lipliner then lipstick, and then gloss if you choose to. lipliner alone is very 90s looking. (in a bad way)
coloured lipgloss i prefer as it keeps your lips moist as well as having colour
if you use both then your color will last even longer. I wear lipliner with lipstick and gloss
    Lipstick, I've never used liner.
    lipgloss on top of lip liner b/c the lipliner stays longer and defines the shape, plus the lipgloss make ur lips SHINE and look LARGER%26gt;%26gt;%26gt;

depends- see if its come from someone who is a reputable seller- check thier feedback.

Try asking them, is this two items as lip liner and eye liners are generally two different colours, one being pink, red or nude and the other being black, grey or brown, ask them why its considered as both.

Check if any other sellers are selling it or its a well known brand, contact the manufacterer and ask them or look on thier website.

Bear in min also that goths will wear black lipstck so black for lips is not that odd, but normally black lip liner is black lip liner, its not the same product that you use for your lips as its a much drier and denser product, lip liner tends to have wax or gel built into it as its made to stop lipstick bleeding onto the skin around your lips. If likewise you apply a lip liner to your eyes, it will likely smudge off or wear off or fade as its got a higher moisture ratio and the additional moisture on your eyelids will make the liner hard to settle and stay put.
why would you buy any kind of make up form ebay in the first place. some one could have done something to it and what not. just go to walgreens and buy some for 2 dollars or go to the dollar store. jeez
because if you are an emo or goth you would require it! I would say it was a clever bit of marketing for whoever is either making or producing it!
why would it be fake? loads of eyeliners double as lip liners
why the hell would you buy eyeliner off of ebay?

is there a product I can use? I know that I shy away from moisturizing lipstick, because that means they will travel to the lines quicker. I do use lip liners but it doesnt seem to help.I am afraid to use any type of gloss for that same reason. Have you used something that worked ?

    ThanksAnti-feathering lipliner?
Try A lip Primer. It will prevent feathering, and help with those lines.

Not to mention it will also help your lipstick stay on longer.Anti-feathering lipliner?
Use a good primer before you apply any make up to your face. This sets your face like a blank canvas and ensures you make up stays on all day, fills in fine lines and open pores.

You shall be able to use whatever lipstick you want.

I would suggest either Laura Mercier the primer or smashbox photo finish primer.

    Happy shopping
Hydro color. It's a new line from Maybelline, (i think). But it was made to keep lips moisturized and colored without that ';sticky'; feeling.
Forget the liner! I adore the marriage between technology and cosmetics, because now there is a lipstick that WON'T budge unless you want it to! CoverGirl and MaxFactor make the best ones. Outlast and Lipfinity (respectively) are lipsticks that use a magical technology (I have no idea how it works) called 'permatone,'; I think, that cements the colour to your lips. Then, a smoothing glossy top coat (comes with the lipstick) is applied and double seals in the colour. It lasts 8-16 hours, unless you take it off with make-up remover. You never have to reapply, and it won't kiss off, come off while eating greasy food, on a coffee mug or wine glass, or on a cigarette. i don't see how it could possibly feather. It comes in various brands, hundreds of shades, and now even the top coat has different shades (gold sparkles can be put over red lipstick for a smashing Christmas or Valentine's look). There are shades from sheer pinks that look just like gloss but don't come off like gloss, to super matte brick reds and everything inbetween! Fading lipsticks and hard to match liners are now a thing of the past!

i'm sure you could, but i don't think it would work so well..

lip liners have different textures and ingredients than eyeliners so they go on differently. and generally lip liners are more nudes or pinky tones so they look different on eyes than lips.

but good luck! Can I use lipliner...?
    you can try i guess..

What's the point of invisible lipliner?

benefit cosmetics makes one but i don't get why. easy 10 points! What's the point of invisible lipliner?
invisible lip liner is the best

it defines the line of your lip for your lipstick/lipgloss and prevents any bleeding of colour

it goes with any colour of lipstick/gloss and save you having 17 different coloured pencils

and not all of us like the ';my lip liner is a different shade to my lipstick'; porn star look

    LOL

Its greatWhat's the point of invisible lipliner?
I kinda agree with most of the answers, but still agree with you about there reasoning for invisible lip liner, what's the point if it's invisible. You can easily try a neutral color that will do the same thing??????????????????????????????
When women get older their lip line becomes less distinct causing the lipstick to ';bleed'; off their mouth. The invisible lip liner helps create a lip line without the color.
    the point is...

it sets a line for your lip. Once you use it you should put on lip stick/gloss and it will stay on your lip line
You can use it with any colour lip gloss or lip stick. It helps for your lip colour to stay on longer and not bleed out, especially if you are a smoker and have fine lines around your mouth, they bleed out more.

Also I think it is a great idea to have a invisible one because too many ppl make the mistake of thinking you should be able to see your lip liner!! ewww it is only for helping ot keep lip colour on and should be the SAME colour!
So your lips can get conditioned and will shine.
ohh you put it on before applyin glip gloss if you dont have a ';normal'; colored lip, that way it loooks like you lips are fuller, because it changes the texture of th eskin to match that of lips =]
It Makes It Easier To Apply Lipstick Or Gloss Afterwards.
I've heard that lip liner should be the color of ur lips and not the color of wat you put on. It's just to protect the gloss or lipstick from smearing and feathering.
So that the lip color doesn't ';feather out'; onto the skin. It is also easier to use since you don't have to worry about matching colors. I think the idea is great to tell you the truth...one less thing I have to worry about when I get ready in the morning LOL
it's just another product they can make money from...

If you can't find the color in stores, then look on the Internet, try Sephora.com I'm swear by that site, if you can't find it there, then you can't find it anywhere.
absolutely! I do it all the time.
    go to hot topic.

they have purple, lime green, hot pink, rose pink, red and a bunch of others. thats where i get my make-up from. its practilly waterproof too! and the best thing is that its only like 2.99! its a pencil though..

    www.hottopic.com
I always heard not to do this...ingredients in lip liner are not good for sensitive eyes...but you can do the reverse, i.e. use eye liner anywhere.
It's totally fine. Cosmetics are 'graded' meaning if it's okay to use on your mouth, okay to use on your eye and vice versa.
NO! if lipliner gets in ur tear duct u can get a very bad infection there. but if eyeliner hits ur tear duct it won't because there is something that protects it.
Yes, its perfectly fine...i think that manufacturers just changed the names to make more money!
go to MAC and go buy pink eyliner waterproof
NO eyeliner has something in it that won't hurt ur eyes and lip- liner doesn't have that
    I would say it'd work.

If i used a lipliner brush and dipped it in mascara liquid and used as a eyeliner is that a problem for eyes?

Yes! The mouth and lips are rife with bacteria, and putting something from your mouth directly into your eyes is dangerous. If i used a lipliner brush and dipped it in mascara liquid and used as a eyeliner is that a problem for eyes?
there is nothing wrong with it as long as you use a clean lip liner brush. maybe try getting an eyeliner brush instead. or just get some liquid eyeliner...that would work better. If i used a lipliner brush and dipped it in mascara liquid and used as a eyeliner is that a problem for eyes?
I agree with everybody else, you shouldn't put things from your mouth into your eye. However, I would also like to add that Mascara is very thick and will not work as a liquid eyeliner, no matter what you apply it with.
    Why would you do that?
    no
Yes of course. your eyes will be burning.

Lip brushes are not for that type of use.

Mascara is for the eye lashes... liner is for the eye lining.

and the brushes are used for only the product it comes with
you should never put anything in your mascara- you might end up with a nasty eye infection or worse
    Just try it out!

Usually if things are used on the same body - yours in this case - it will be OK though you need to consider that there might be things in your mouth you do not want to have in your eyes...?!

I麓d wash the brush with alcohol and dry it thoroughly or simply buy a brush and cut off some hairs if it麓s too big

    Hope this helps

    Cheers
yes. that is a problem! your going to transfur germs from your lips to your eyes and your going to get an infection, not good! My suggestion to you is to get some eyeliner, liquid or solid, whichever you feel more comfertable using. but your makeup is deff. going to look better if you use products for what they were intended to be used for.

  • Lipliner... good or bad?

I use a darker colored lip liner on my lips. I outline them and fill them in. I am a young girl, in my later teens. Do you think this is a good idea, or does it probably turn people off and look too dramatic?Lipliner... good or bad?
Lipliner is fine as long is it is the color of your lips or the color of your lipstick. It should never be too dark. It is good that you know to fill in your lip buy use a lighter color. If you have to ask if it is turning people off it probably is. Use a nude or a soft pink. Bobbi Brown's ';pale pink'; liner is a great natural look.Lipliner... good or bad?
Okay first dont listen to every critisism you hear. I love lip liner. Do you guys hear that Love.

My advice for you is this if you want to use lipliner alone then always always match it with your natural lip color. It will look as if you have naturally fuller lips. I always use it and nobody can tell me it looks bad. Ive gotten many compliments when I tell people otherwise they wouldnt know.

Lipsticks dont define your lipline. Again use the same tone of lipliner as lipstick.

A trick I have is that when you buy a lipstick and you dont like the tone you can always adjust the tone by using a different shade of lipliner! Then apply the lipstick over the lipliner and youll see a whole new shade!

If you want a matte look use liplinere instead of lipstick on your Whole lips.

    Good Luck
i dont think you should use a really dramatic color.

But if you'd like, get a lipliner thats about the color of your gloss or lipstick, it'll look cute. But not as dramatic. ((: Try MAC
if it's close to your lipstick color then yes if it's really dfferent then no
Personally I've always thought it gives girls a look as if they just got done munching on some dirt or that their lipstick is parcially faded and neglected, since the inside color is usually lighter.
I use lip liner but the same color as my lip stick or a little darker is ok but to dark looks un natural. And light colors of lip stick as well.
bad! no offense but the natural look is whats pretty...not lined lips! good luck!
    Nasty
    dark lined lips

    are so

    bleagh!

    OUT!!!

    too hoochie 4 u baby

but if its light and matches you lip gloss

it great to fill you lips
    The way that you describe-bad.

Lipliner should match you lipstick color as closely as possible.

I saw a girl at a store the other day that had very dark liner and light lips-it looked horrible...it was obvious everyone else thought so too....

Some trends are best left alone...sticking with classic looks is always stylish and you can't go wrong.
lip liner is suppose to b for lining the edges of your lips. if the color is too dark, you will look scary instead of glamorous. i reccomend u to put chapstick on first, then fill them in with lipstick.
In my opinion, it's too dramatic.

If you're looking for change, Bath %26amp; Body Works makes some

awesome colorful lip glosses... They come in some pretty funky colors too =)
When I see it I am always reminded of a butt hole. No offense but you asked. Don't understand why but it is the truth for me.
all makeup on anyone just depends on how they present the rest of them selves. i couldn't tell you without looking, but if you've been doing it it probably isn't totally bad?~good luck=]
Def. a no no. Throughout the day your lipstick wears off and you are stuck with lipliner around your lips. It isn't very pretty in my opinion, especially when using darker lip liner.

The only time you should use it is if your lips are uneven and you need to shape them up, but even then you just use it in the area that you need it and you use a color that is very similiar to the color of your lips.
    BAD!!!

Lip liner doesn't look good on anyone! It is way too dramatic!!

Try you basic lip gloss, or, if you want to stand out more, go for the classic red lipstick look. And, there's always the o-natural look... slap on some burt's bees and your good to go (thats my favorite option).
    Like lip Cancer?
I did the darker-colored lip liner thing....10 years ago! Looking back, it was a huge mistake. I'd actually recommend getting a lip liner with a color identical to your natural lip color. Put on a little gloss, and voi la...full, beautiful, natural lips. Try it...I bet you'll like it better.
the hottest girls i know use lip liner.
I think it is a little dramatic and it doesnt look very natural
older women look good with it, maybe if it's a fun occasion go for it! but it's a turn off.
In my opinion lip liner shouldn't be darker than your lipstick or lips, it's considered out of style and seems to be used only be older people. I would recommend using a lighter lip liner and light natural lipstick, or darker lip liners with darker lipstick for special occasions.
    na you shouln't use it
    BAD!
I think the darker color might be too much. Try a color that is closer to your natural lip color, and do what you said - outline and fill them in. It will make a defined look, more dressy.

I wear Naked Rose cremestick liner from MAC - line and fill lips in. Makes a long lasting more natural ';lipstick'; on me. I also have worn that and added some gloss. I found several natural color lipliners around - pick one that is best for you.
lip liner is gross in my opinion.
Dark lip liner with light lip stick is very 90ish. It is a new millennium. Use light lip liner and light lipstick it is 2008!
Lipliner is great to use especially to make the lips appear more fuller and to stop lipsticks and gloss from feathering. However, if the lip liner is to noticeable on the lips then it will look awful and not very natural. Try to find a shade more to your lip tone and this will appear more natural and not as harsh.
If it matches your lipstick then it's ok, but it's really tacky to line them dark and then use a lighter lipstick or gloss.
that was in style about 8 or 9 years ago....i would go with lipstick or lipgloss only.
it depends. do u have fat .lips because that makes them look too dramatic! and i dont know how old u are~!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
