Do I really need a lipliner?

and does it have to be an exact match to my lipstick?Do I really need a lipliner?
I dont think so unless read below.

Lip liner is one of those makeup accessories that some women love and other women fear, but it doesn't have to be that way. Lip liner, when applied correctly, can be used by anyone to help define the shape of lips, help lip color last longer and add color without the use of lipstick.

I like to use it only when someone is wanting a special look. But often when I use lipstick, for the older people that is when i will use a lip liner. Other than that I dont.

Lip liners in plastic containers that twist are better because you do not need to sharpen the pencil, which can be wasteful, and liners in wood casing often dry out since the wood takes the moisture out of the liner.

Lip liners can be used to create the look of fuller lips.

For longer-lasting lip color, shade both lips with lip liner after defining them. As lipstick fades throughout the day, the liner offers a hint of color before you have a chance to reapply.

Balance heavy eye makeup with a soft lip color. Wear a rich and boldly colored lipstick to complement soft eye makeup.

Give the illusion of a thicker top lip by lining its outermost edges and foregoing liner on the bottom lip.

Chill lip liner for easier sharpening.Do I really need a lipliner?
I think it depends on your age and the condition of your skin.

If you are older and/or have a lot of wrinkles around your lips, you probably need to wear lipliner to avoid having your lipstick ';bleed'; (which looks nasty).

If your lips are crooked, and you want to make them even or change the shape, lipliner is the way to do that without surgery.

If you're young and don't have wrinkles around your lips, and you are just wearing sheer lipstick or lipgloss -- no, you definately don't want to wear lipliner.

Yes, the lipliner has to be close. Not an exact match, but it has to be in the same range as the lipstick you are going to wear (you wouldn't want to wear brick-red lipliner with mauve lipstick...).

I think sheer lipstick or gloss looks better on most people than a fully lined/lipsticked mouth.
non and no
no you do not need it but it is definitely not out of style maybe just not popular wear a long lasting lipstick/gloss and there is no point in using it.
Lip liner is so 80's... You don't need it... If you are worried about your lip stick/gloss not staying on, try putting some pressed powder on first or concealer.
no and no

lip liner looks different on different ppl i dont like how it looks on me! so i dont wear it try it and see if you like it. if you get compliments then you should continue wearing it if you dont then forget the lip liner :D
I think that if you would like to bring out your lips more and give some effect, you should use it. I don't use it myself at the moment. The color can be neutral and match your lipstick, or it can be darker. Play around with it, you'll find a color you prefer and a shade that you love. GoOD LucK
no not really if you are going to use a lip liner match it to the color of your lips or to the lipcolor. lip liner helps the lipstick stay in place longer. you can also use darl lipliners to tone down bright lip colors. Try fun new colors of lipliners and add gloss to make your own sheer lip colors make sure to belnd well
lipliner if you want them to outline but not necessarily, besides if you dont want to look like a chonga then is best to get a lipliner color SIMILIAR to the lipstick...I prefer lipgloss
No, lipliner is kinda out of style. There's so many great lipsticks out there that you don't need it. But if you do plan on wearing it, it needs to be the exact same shade as your lipstick or a little lighter, and blend it well. Darker lipliner gives the lips the appearance of being smaller, not larger. Good luck!
No, you don't need any.
