Why do people wear lipliner.. do they want there lips to look bigger?

I don't know. It just looks kind of wierd to me. I like just plain lips, no lipstick even.Why do people wear lipliner.. do they want there lips to look bigger?
lipliner should be either the same color as your lips or lipstick, please no black or brown, and it helps keep the color from feathering and makes your lipstick last longer. (cosmetologist/make-up artist)
i think it is mainly to make them appear more, instead of just letting them blend in with their face.
yeah they make your lips look plumper-not everyone has giganto sucker fish lips
it depends on how u put it on. i mean. thats why i put it on. i have thin lips.

It depends were you place the lip liner. Some people place it on the outside of their lip to make them appear larger and some place them on the inside of the lip to make the appear smaller.
sort of, it defines your lips so everyone can see them bettr.it makes people look at your lips more because the lipliner makes your lips stand out.
Not really. In my case, I use it to outline my lips and then fill up with lipstick/lip gloss. I guess some people might do it to make their lips look fuller.

Lip liner is mainly used by older people. As you grow older your lips will get smaller and the outer lin that you have on your lips when you are young gets very light and hard to see. People use it to darken their natural lip line and to make their lips appear to be larger and more plump!

well i think if anyone's going to use lipliner they should use the color of their lip tone. that way it looks natural.
I have big plump lips but soft and when i use lip liner it gives you a whole different look.

Black %26amp; brown are wrong unless you have VERY dark skin. Lipliner is a bit drier so lipstick adheres to it better than naked lips. Also it helps keep lipstick inside the lines. If it is applied correctly, it shouldn't be noticeable!!!
makes lips look fuller but it also helps the lipstick stay in place.. you should also wear a liner that comes very close to the color of the lipstick.. some people just don't do that..
